WHAT GOT YOU INTO BARBERSHOP:
Started singing in a HS Quartet in Albany, NY in the late 60's. Sang with Saratoga Springs, NY Chapter after College, then took time out to raise family and develop work/career. Got back into singing in 1990 with Burlington, VT Chapter, then Charlotte, NC Chapter. Arrived in DC in 2006.
FAVORITE BARBERSHOP EXPERIENCE:
There are several......locking and ringing chords in a quartet....teaching young singers the joy of this craft.....Singing Valentines (my favorite day of the year).....staging successful Annual Shows or public appearances.....singing with dedicated Chorus singers to achieve performance goals.
OTHER BARBERSHOP EXPERIENCE:
I have sung in four registered quartets over the years and I am deeply dedicated to Youth in Harmony. I also do work in PR and a variety of administrative Chapter functions, including producing Annual Shows. I have Barbershop friends in New England, NC and now here in DC....it's all great!! The fellowship evolves from good singing and that is probably the best of all aspects of being a Barbershopper.
