We are a registered quartet in the Barbershop Harmony Society and all members of its Washington DC chapter, the “Singing Capital Chorus”. We pride ourselves in the music we create together and do our best to entertain you any way we can.

*IN FEAR. ONLY NERDS OF OUR CALIBER WOULD DARE TAKE ON SUCH COMPLEX AND BEAUTIFUL MUSIC.
*WE ARE NOT YOUR STANDARD GARTER-ON-SLEEVE BARBERSHOP QUARTET, NO SIR, WE WEAR OUR GARTERS WHERE THEY WERE MEANT TO BE WORN.

Steve Spriggs, tenor, starting singing as a child and continued through high school after which he took a short 30-year break. Then in 2003, when faced with a 20 minute rap, yo, a judge gave Steve the choice between jail time and barbershop singing with the DC chapter, and he has been harmonizing ever since.

Allen Snyder, lead, has been a member of the DC Chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society for 20 years, and has sung lead in three registered quartets. Allen is also a person of interest to the INS for his singing in several undocumented quartets.

Kevin Flynn, bass, has been singing a cappella since 1977 in styles ranging from classical and Madrigal, to Bluegrass, Jazz, and of course Barbershop. Kevin also acts from time to time and was recently seen on stage in “Brigadoon” and “Me and My Girl” reciting lines from “One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest”.

Roger Logsdon, baritone, loves singing harmony and has been loving it every chance he gets for many years, mostly in church choirs, back alleys, and dark stairwells. He got his start in a cappella quartet singing from his high school chorus teacher. (thanks! Al Eaton)
