(L-R) Mike Stoll – baritone, Kevin Flynn - bass, Frank Fedarko - lead,  Drew Fuller – tenor

The DOWNTOWN barbershop quartet has a smooth blend of voices that produce a rich harmony.  Formed in 2005, DOWNTOWN is teamed with four guys with a lot of quartet and performance experience.  Their warm harmonies have entertained audiences from chapter shows to the Birchmere Music Hall and ranked them among the top 10 quartets in their barbershop division competition for the past two years.  All four members are long-time participants in the Harmony Brigade movement sweeping through the Barbershop Harmony Society.  They are all charter members of the Atlantic Harmony Brigade and regular members of the North Carolina Harmony Brigade.

Mike Stoll sings baritone, the part that most people have difficulty picking out.  Mike sets a dramatic vocal undertone to help the lead tell his story and enable the bass to sound his best as he sings above and below the lead.  Mike has sung most recently with Virginia Ham.

Kevin Flynn lays in the “oh so low” bass line providing a tonal center to keep the quartet in tune.  Kevin lives near Germantown, MD and also sings with Capital A Cappella, a Washington DC barbershop quartet.  He has formerly sung with Chanson, a mixed vocal-jazz acapella quintet.

Frank Fedarko sings the lead, which sets a strong melody line for the quartet’s harmonizing.  He is an accomplished singer with the Fairfax Jubil-Aires Barbershop Chorus.  Frank uses his great range to tell the song’s story with clear and engaging tones.  DOWNTOWN is his first performing quartet.

Drew Fuller sings tenor, providing the light, sweet harmonies at the top of the scale.  The formally trained musician of the group, Drew has sung in the successful quartets Virginia Ham and James Gang and sings with the gold medal international champion chorus the Alexandria Harmonizers.

As these short biographies show, this quartet has what it takes to entertain.  A taste of blues, a bit of Irish, a Broadway tune or just plain barbershop – you can find them all… DOWNTOWN.
